In 1987, CHANEL created watch for women: Première, inspired by the symbol of House of CHANEL. The Première initiated a true lesson in style by opening the first pace of CHANEL’s watchmaking history.

 

Its bold design, an octagonal case featuring a monochrome dial without indexes or a seconds hand, and its immediately recognizable signature offered freedom from all the codes of traditional watchmaking. The octagonal case, inspired by the stopped of CHANEL N°5 and the geometry of Place Vendôme, defines an unmistakable icon.

In 2026, this iconic creation is dressed in red. A red that defines this distinctive Première. This flamboyant and vibrant tone, a metaphor for passion and audacity, was one of Gabrielle Chanel’s favourite colours.

 

“Red is life.”

Constantly reinterpreted in the creations of the House, this colour is rendered in an intense hue. The sunburst-lacquered dial offers an exquisite play of light reflections, while the bracelet combines a velvet touch with a couture feeling.

 

Refined down to the smallest detail, the new Première Ribbon Red features a yellow gold case as well as a diamond-set crown to further accentuate its preciousness.
