Buckle up, as that time of the year has arrived. Horology enthusiasts are once again rejoicing as Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 returns for its sixth instalment. Just when we thought last year’s showcase was the biggest to date, this edition may well surpass it.
Taking place from April 14 to 20 at Palexpo Exhibition Centre (and across the city), the fair promises a slew of standout moments. Here’s what to look out for, whether you’re attending in person or keeping an eye on the novelties as they unfold in the news.
1. New Kids On The Block
Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026 heralds the arrival of 11 new brands. It brings together a mix of heritage houses and a new wave of independents. One name, however, stands apart: Audemars Piguet. The brand joins the other members of the Holy Trinity of horology: Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin.
After stepping away from horology fairs and trade shows in 2019, the Le Brassus–based manufacture now returns. This departure came just before the iconic Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) rebranded as Watches and Wonders. The comeback draws strong anticipation across the industry.
Rather than introducing its novelties across multiple launches, this move realigns Audemars Piguet with the industry calendar. It does so without losing its sense of exclusivity. Alongside it, a cohort of new joiners also enters the fair. L’Epée 1839, Behrens, Bianchet, B.R.M Chronographes, Charles Girardier, Corum, Credor, Favre Leuba, March LA.B, and Sinn Spezialuhren are all among the 66 exhibiting brands.
2. Enhanced Experiences
To accommodate the new roster, the fair committee introduces a reimagined journey within The Salon. It also adds new activities to improve visitor comfort. This year, both the Carré des Horlogers and the Mezzanine area expand to house more exhibitors.
Meanwhile, a new initiative within the LAB programme is driving a wave of innovation that is redefining the watchmaking landscape. Visitors can explore selected projects in cutting-edge technologies, sustainability, and social impact. The fair selected these from a pool of 60 applications received.
3. Beyond The Salon
Staying true to its commitment, the annual celebration extends across the city. It continues to reinforce Geneva’s role as a global watchmaking powerhouse. It also builds on a tried-and-tested format. This year, the fair announces a partnership with the Montreux Jazz Festival.
The collaboration introduces a musical line-up of emerging local and international talents, accompanied by jazz ensembles. The programme runs every evening at a new location on Quai Général-Guisan. It offers an immersive experience rich in interaction and intimacy.
From Geneva to the global stage, whether experienced firsthand or from afar, this year’s edition is set to leave a lasting mark on the world of watchmaking.
