Adapted from Andy Weir’s best-selling novel, Project Hail Mary is a film where time becomes one of the most precious resources left to humanity. As the story unfolds on screen, TAG Heuer finds its place quietly; strapped to the wrist of Ryland Grace, portrayed by Ryan Gosling, a science teacher who awakens aboard a spacecraft light years from home, with no memory of how he arrived.

As fragments of his past begin to return, so too does the gravity of his quest: to solve the mystery of a cosmic substance threatening to extinguish the sun. Forced to draw upon his scientific expertise and unorthodox thinking, Grace must attempt the unthinkable to save the Earth. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with a screenplay by Drew Goddard, the film unfolds as a compelling interplay of scientific puzzle, isolation-driven survival, and an unexpected emotional connection.

Within this narrative, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 emerges as a subtle yet constant presence. Worn by Gosling’s character throughout the film, the watch—set in a titanium case and paired with a vivid red strap—integrates seamlessly, accompanying both moments of critical decision-making and quiet reckoning. In a universe where time becomes both ally and adversary, the Connected Calibre E5 mirrors this intensity—embodying advanced technology while remaining deeply human in its expression.

Gosling’s long-standing relationship with TAG Heuer brings a rare authenticity to the partnership, built on a shared vision of resilience, innovation, and pushing the limits. Since becoming a brand ambassador in 2021, his collaboration with the brand has evolved organically—extending beyond representation into the narratives he brings to life on screen. In Project Hail Mary, this synergy feels particularly resonant, as the brand’s values of performance, character, and purpose are woven seamlessly into the fabric of the story.

Presented by Amazon MGM Studios, Project Hail Mary arrives in cinemas worldwide on 20 March 2026, offering a cinematic experience where time, science, and human determination converge on an interstellar scale—one in which TAG Heuer remains steady and essential.
