The lights go down over Marina Bay, the grandstands fill, and for two weeks every September, Singapore becomes a circuit. Seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton will be somewhere in that blur of noise and neon, chasing a podium at 300 kilometres an hour. But this year, the man behind the visor has built something for the hours after the chequered flag falls, and it’s landing right at Marina Bay Sands.
Anyone who’s watched a Grand Prix from the paddock, or even from a screen with a whisky in hand, knows that comedown where the adrenaline doesn’t switch off. For the driven, high-achieving crowd who treat their downtime the way they treat their portfolios, that’s usually where the night gets messy or gets boring.
This is where Marina Bay Sands has quietly outmanoeuvred the obvious playbook. Rather than just parking another show car in a lobby, the resort has partnered with Hamilton to bring Almave, his non-alcoholic blue agave spirit, into Southeast Asia for the first time. Crafted in Mexico by Master Distiller Iván Saldaña using real agave and traditional copper stills, Almave isn’t the diluted mocktail compromise you’re expecting. It’s built to hold its own at a bar table with a decent watch on your wrist and nowhere urgent to be.
From 16 October, guests can order The Lewis, a signature zero-proof cocktail co-created with Hamilton himself, across seven of the resort’s restaurants, including LAVO, Mott 32 and Spago by Wolfgang Puck. Then, from 8 to 15 October, The Almave Circuit takes over five more venues with bespoke serves exclusive to the property for a full year. A race-week experience built for people who want the thrill without the hangover, the glamour without the excess.
And Almave is only one lap of the circuit. Ferrari Lifestyle makes its Asia debut at The Shoppes from 25 September, Hamilton’s streetwear label +44 lands with a Jahan Loh capsule collection, and the resort’s three towers will burn Ferrari red against the skyline every night from 7pm through 11 October.
Race season is fleeting. The best nights during it, less so.
