For nearly four decades, Chopard’s partnership with the legendary Mille Miglia has stood as one of the most authentic relationships between watchmaking and motorsport. Since becoming World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of the famed Italian endurance rally in 1988, the Maison has consistently translated the race’s defining qualities—endurance, legibility, and mechanical precision—into purposeful timepieces. Its latest creation, the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu – 2026 Racing Edition, continues that tradition with confidence.

Limited to 250 numbered pieces,  the new timepiece immediately projects a robust, purposeful character through its 43 mm case crafted from Lucent Steel™. Despite its commanding presence, the proportions remain balanced and wearable, aided by short ergonomic lugs and a screw-down crown engraved with a steering wheel motif. Reinforcing its credentials as a genuine driver’s instrument, the watch is water-resistant to 100 metres, delivering dependable performance in virtually all conditions.

The automotive inspiration becomes even more apparent on the dial. Crafted from brass and finished in a grained blue-grey tone, its textured surface evokes the asphalt of Italy’s iconic race roads. Function remains at the forefront, with broad faceted hands and applied metallic hour markers coated in black Super-LumiNova®, ensuring exceptional legibility in both daylight and darkness. A semi-instantaneous date display further enhances practicality, while broad, masculine typography reinforces the watch’s sporting character. Completing the dashboard-inspired aesthetic is a power reserve indicator designed to resemble a fuel gauge.

Beneath the dial beats the in-house Chopard 01.08-C automatic calibre, a COSC-certified chronometer operating at 4 Hz with a generous 60-hour power reserve. Equipped with a stop-seconds function, the movement allows for precise time-setting to the very second, underscoring the Maison’s commitment to mechanical excellence.

The attention to detail extends seamlessly to the strap. Crafted from technical black textile and reinforced with a rubber lining, it offers both durability and everyday comfort. Hidden beneath, a subtle tyre-tread pattern quietly reinforces the collection’s enduring connection to the automotive world.

“With the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu – Racing Edition, we wanted to express what endurance truly means today: reliability, clarity and mechanical precision, combined with a strong, contemporary design,” said Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele.

That sentiment ultimately defines the watch. Rather than simply revisiting nostalgia, the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio-Blu – 2026 Racing Edition distills the essence of endurance racing into a thoroughly contemporary expression: Assertive design, advanced functions and mechanical excellence. Fronted by Chopard’s long-standing motorsport ambassadors, Jacky Ickx and Romain Dumas, the timepiece stands as yet another testament to a partnership that has continued to evolve while remaining faithful to its racing roots.
