Aman has confirmed its first destination in South Korea, and the location leaves little room for ambiguity about the brand’s ambitions. Aman Seoul will sit in Cheongdam, overlooking the Han River in the heart of Gangnam, one of the city’s most prestigious addresses.
Developed in partnership with Shinsegae Property, the project brings together a hotel, a limited collection of branded residences and a private Aman Club under one integrated destination. It marks a deliberate bet on Seoul as a rising centre of global luxury, alongside fashion, design and technology.
A New Address for Ultra-Luxury Living in Cheongdam
Cheongdam is already regarded as the epicentre of Seoul’s luxury retail and cultural landscape, and Aman Seoul is designed to match that positioning. The architecture and interiors draw on Korean spatial traditions and materiality, developed in close dialogue with local craftspeople.
Separate entrances and arrival sequences give the hotel, residences and Aman Club their own distinct identities within the same site, a hallmark of Aman’s approach to privacy and design.
A Permanent Home, the Maison’s Way
Beyond the hotel, Aman Seoul introduces a limited collection of branded residences, extending the group’s philosophy of privacy and space into permanent homes. Interiors are elevated further by Aman Interiors, the label’s furnishings line, bringing its refined aesthetic directly into residents’ living spaces.
It is a continuation of a wider shift among luxury hospitality names towards branded residential living, where the appeal lies as much in a way of life as in the property itself.
Wellness at the Centre
Spa and wellness facilities span multiple floors, reflecting Aman’s long-standing focus on physical and mental restoration. A diverse food and beverage programme, including the brand’s own dining concepts, rounds out the offering.
At the centre of it all sits the Aman Club, complete with a private pool, fitness facilities and social spaces reserved for residence owners and members. Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, described the development as an urban sanctuary built around Aman’s core values of privacy, service and cultural connection.
Part of a Bigger Global Story
Aman Seoul joins a growing roster of urban addresses that includes Tokyo, New York and Bangkok, with Beverly Hills, Miami, Dubai and Singapore all in the pipeline. Together, they signal Aman’s continued shift from remote retreats towards fully integrated city destinations, where hospitality, residences and wellbeing exist as one.
