When Rolls-Royce co-founder Sir Henry Royce observed that “small things make perfection, but perfection is no small thing,” he could scarcely have imagined the motor car that would one day embody that philosophy most completely. The Spectre Series II, unveiled at Goodwood in June 2026, is precisely that: a refinement of a modern masterpiece, sharpened in every dimension without disturbing a single line of its celebrated form.

Since its debut in 2022, Spectre has quietly reshaped expectations of what an electric motor car can be. It became Rolls-Royce’s second best-selling model globally in 2025, earned acclaim from judging panels throughout the world, and inspired clients to commission some of the most personally expressive Bespoke motor cars the marque has ever produced. Series II does not reinvent that legacy. It deepens it.

Silent, But Faster

The numbers tell part of the story. Engineers at Goodwood have recalibrated Spectre’s drivetrain to deliver 442 kW of power and 1,015 Nm of torque — a significant step forward from its predecessor. In Black Badge Spectre Series II, however, the figures enter genuinely historic territory. Infinity Mode unlocks 500 kW of power, while Spirited Mode summons up to 1,100 Nm of torque, making this the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever created. The sprint from 0 to 60 mph takes just 4.1 seconds — remarkable for a motor car that weighs nearly three tonnes and arrives in near-total silence.

Re-engineered battery cell technology extends the potential driving range by up to 18 percent, reaching 390 miles on the WLTP cycle, while charging times have been reduced by up to 14 percent. For a clientele that charges almost exclusively at home and increasingly uses Spectre as a daily driver, these are refinements that matter in practice, not merely on paper.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II commands the road in its deep forest green exterior finish.

Craft at an Extraordinary Scale

Where Spectre Series II truly distinguishes itself is in the realm of material craft — and here, the details are staggering. New to the interior palette is Duality Twill, a rayon fabric woven from bamboo, inspired by the groves at Le Jardin des Méditerranées on the Côte d’Azur, which neighbours Sir Henry Royce’s former winter home. A single Duality Twill interior can incorporate up to 2.6 million stitches across 10 miles of thread, requiring up to 25 hours to complete. Clients may choose from more than 50 thread colours, with the embroidered Duality graphic drawing on both the interlinked RR initials of the marque’s founders and the nautical rope lines of French Riviera sailing yachts.

Equally compelling is the new Placed Perforation leather, where 78,138 precision-cut perforations in three sizes — spanning the shoulder and headrest areas of all four seats — create an artwork inspired by the shifting silhouettes of clouds in moonlight. When extended to the illuminated door panels, the pattern disperses softly toward each light source, evoking starlight breaking through a night sky.

Spectre Series II's fascia spans the full width of the cabin, with the new Illuminated Fascia artwork and aviation-inspired timepiece at its heart.
The new Duality Twill in Sage — up to 2.6 million stitches of bamboo-derived rayon — brings a soft, verdant luxury to Spectre Series II's rear cabin.

More Than a Motor Car

Perhaps the most powerful story Spectre Series II tells is not about engineering or craft alone, but about the depth of feeling it inspires. Clients have reimagined their Spectre as a tribute to a lifelong relationship — its Starlight Headliner mapping the constellations as they appeared on the night two people first met. Others have commissioned exquisite marquetry celebrating a beloved family dog, or mirrored the precise hues of their home interior across every surface. One client in Korea has gone further still, building a dedicated gallery within their residence to display their Spectre as a work of art. These are not merely anecdotes. They reflect a motor car that has earned a rare kind of trust — the kind that invites its owner to tell their most personal story through it. With Spectre Series II, Rolls-Royce has achieved something rare — improving a motor car without ever implying it needed to be saved. The pursuit of perfection, it turns out, has no finish line.

Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II and Black Badge Spectre Series II are available to commission now through Rolls-Royce Private Offices worldwide.
